Louisa Leyla December 15, 2020 Coloring Book
Coloring books are a thing of the past. Kids today aren’t as thrilled by a basic coloring book as children a generation ago. That is because these children have been spoiled by all the fantastic new methods of coloring using the computer or with fancy markers and pens. While you might get away with a coloring book and crayons for a long car trip, don’t expect your school age children to sit quietly at the table coloring pictures the old fashioned way – there is a something better around, and they know it.
You would think that after your child has completed their masterpiece that would be the end. Well it’s not over yet! Teaching your little one(s) to actually search for their own coloring pages introduces children to the Internet. By teaching them to do so your little one will develop hand eye coordination by using the keyboard and mouse. Their skills on how to search for the information that they are looking for will prove to be invaluable in latter years. Before long I’m sure your child will start to teach you a thing or two about the Internet that you didn’t know.
The people of Ireland brought the tradition of carving the turnip on the occasion of Halloween but later on they discovered that it was easier to carve a pumpkin because of its extra large size. However, along with other coloring pictures, pumpkin coloring pages in a variety of pumpkin shapes and sizes are available for kids that can either be printed or colored online.
There is no doubt that visual learning plays a key role when it comes to children’s learning and development. In fact, visual teachings are commonly regarded as one of the most important factors that add a lot to a child’s early growth and development. For the records, children are easily influenced by what they see, touch, feel and participate more than just what they hear. Visuals help them retain and remember lessons taught. It also takes care of verbal miscommunication and also creates and retains their interest in a particular lesson. It is often said that humans, especially kids tend to remember 10% of what they hear, 50% of what they see, and 80% of what they see and do. This underlines the importance of visual aids in learning and development of kids.
All kids like to color, but there are important reasons to encourage and guide this activity beyond the simple hedonistic impetus to have fun.
Typical Halloween activities include costume parties, ghost tours, trick – or – treating, lighting bonfires, visiting haunted houses, apple bobbing, playing pranks, reading scary stories and watching scary movies. Earlier turnip was traditionally used as a symbol of Halloween to remember the souls but later pumpkin gain popularity due to its availability in the universe.
