o Through the use of a special device called lathe, one can create roundly shaped woodworking designs. The lathe is used for turning a stock of wood at a certain speed and by applying a certain pressure on it, depending on its size. By using this technique, one can obtain cylindrical and round items like table legs, bawls, cups, sculptures.
Luckily for me…and other woodworkers, it was just about finding the correct source to get a hold of the best project plans.
Our first project has to be just right, not too hard and not too easy so that when it is done it will be something we can be proud of and will win much praise from our spouse. So it doesn’t matter if we start with a small simple piece of furniture our an outdoor structure like a dog kennel or chicken coup, we just have to get it right. Of course this will give us the confidence to keep on and tackle harder and harder projects and gain much admiration from our family and friends.
Right now we are in informational age and pretty much all of us have computers. Today, even wood workers use computers to store their woodworking designs in digital form for a lot easier keeping. Also, when you own hundreds or thousands of woodworking designs it is very hard to find the ones you want if they are in paper form. When you have them on your computer in digital form you just use the search option and the ”looking for them” problem goes away.

The objective is to open the pores to restore the aroma that is waiting to be let loose. There are a couple of ways you can do this. One method is to very lightly sand the surface using a fine 200 grit sandpaper on a sanding block. What this will do is the sandpaper will penetrate the pores and will open up pockets in the wood where the precious cedar oil is contained. Be very careful with the sanding though as you don’t want to end up with scratch marks. This is avoidable if you sand in the same direction as the grain. You will find that it’s not going to take much sanding before you smell the aroma of the cedar once again.
